Kefalonia Greece

Discover Lixouri, activities and watersports

The Ionian island of Kefalonia, Greece – the home of our active beach clubs and yacht sailing holidays – is stunningly beautiful. With much to see and do, sometimes it feels like a week or two just isn’t enough.

With it’s history and culture, plus the mountainous terrain and picture-postcard beaches, Kefalonia has something for every visitor. If it’s not on your bucket list, then it should be.

There’s always a warm welcome from the locals that adds to that Greek Island vibe, and not forgetting the delicious Greek cuisine – local, freshly prepared and seasonal. Nothing beats watching a sunset with a glass of wine in hand after a fun day of sailing and water sports.

Well known for its starring role in the film ‘Captain Correlis Mandolin’, Kefalonia has stunning coastal scenery, a fascinating rural charm and incredibly friendly locals.

The Lixouri Peninsula

Our active beach clubs and main yacht base are located on the Lixouri peninsula,  on the west of the island.

Embrace laid-back life in the charming town of Lixouri. Drop-in for a frappe and watch the world go by from one of the many cafes on the bustling town square. The nearby beaches are beautiful and plentiful, scattered along the dramatic coastline – and often less touristy than some other well-known areas of the island. Without a doubt, Lixouri and the surrounding areas have some of the best food and local hospitality on the island. Cool low-key beach bars and traditional village tavernas, all serving local dishes with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
