Trek Adventures Yacht Sailing Holidays
We’ve been operating yacht sailing holidays for over 10 years now. Like us, our guests absolutely love being out on the water and we offer a range of different sailing holidays to cater for all abilities.
If you’re new to all of this or are looking to gain an internationally recognised yacht sailing certificate, then a Learn To Sail holiday is the option for you. You don’t need any previous sailing experience, just the drive to take on a new challenge! During your first three days, one of our brilliant yacht instructors will join you onboard to guide you through all the practical training. Most of the theory is covered before you join us in Kefalonia, as you will have completed your ICC theory course using the online portal.
After 3 days of tuition, you’ll join the other Learn To Sail yachts and enjoy a daily mini flotilla for the remainder of the week. The Gulf of Argostoli provides a great learning environment, helping you to get to grips with yacht sailing. By the end of the week, you’ll have an internationally recognised qualification. There’ll plenty of new holiday options available to you too!
This is such a great way to spend a week or two. Cruise between quaint little harbours and moor up in secluded bays for lunch and a swim. We operate a flexi style flotilla with a small fleet of well-maintained yachts. Whilst you will need a valid sailing qualification, our lovely flotilla skipper and first mate will always be on hand to help with departing and arriving into port. During each day, you can follow their lead boat route, or plot your own course and explore by yourself.
Our Flotilla base in Ag. Efimia, Kefalonia offers easy access to the southern Ionian. Ithaca is a short sail away and further along the route, you stop off at Meganisi, Sivota and Kalamos. Each island provides it’s own unique charms, as well as plenty of places to anchor for a spot of lunch and a swim
This one-way route combines a mix of the southern Ionian with Kefalonia’s stunning west coast. It’s a chance to see somewhere different. Atheras and Asos are unique stopping points on the route. Atheras is idyllic and quiet with a couple of tavernas lining the back of a secluded beach. Asos is a beautiful harbour below a ruined hilltop fortress. You’ll be joined by our brilliant flotilla skipper and first mate aboard the lead boat. Sailing in June and September the West Coast Flotillas have become a favourite choice for couples and small groups.
For the experienced yachtie, our one-way deliveries in April and October are a must! Explore a wealth of different locations in the Ionian when everywhere is a bit quieter, plus we’ll take you further north through the Lefkas canal. The flotilla has a great vibe, with many guests signing up for every delivery possible because they love them so much.
As one of our most sought after holidays, but with limited availability, bookings need to be made 6-12 months in advance!
If you have any questions or would like to make a booking for any of sailing options, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
For 2020, we are so excited to launch our new flotilla options in Murter, Croatia. With over 200 islands to explore, there are endless options for flotilla routes. Shorter point to point sails can ease beginner skippers into the week, whilst adding a detour around a few islands can give longer options for the more experienced sailor!
